Experimental 2D animation loops
Every now and then I like to play around with an amazing app for the iPad called Looom by Iorama Studio. The app provides a fresh and intuitive approach to animation and makes it easy and fun to create loops.
One of its unique features is that you can animate in real-time. Basically it works like this: The loop plays infinitely and whatever stroke you draw will be recorded and added to the animation. Like this, very organic and smooth movements can be achieved. Most of the animations displayed here were animated using this technique, some were animated frame-by-frame.
